Marsh Hill Primary School is committed to enriching the lives and transforming the futures of our children. The Governors of Marsh Hill are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced and committed individual to the position of Administrative/Finance Assistant. This is an opportunity to join a friendly, hardworking and dedicated team of staff.

The successful candidate will:

  • be a confident and experienced school administrator
  • be able to welcome and communicate effectively with visitors, staff, pupils and other external   agencies in a professional and courteous manner
  • be responsible for dealing with all aspects of reception and administration duties
  • have excellent administration skills and the ability to prioritise workload and tasks
  • be able to work effectively as part of a busy team and use own initiative
  • have a good customer service ethic and be flexible in their approach to work
  • have a keen interest in education finance processes
  • raise purchase orders from requisitions, accurately and in accordance with agreed authorisation and timescales in accordance with procedures
  • administer schools’ unofficial funds account, collating, counting (if necessary banking of cash) and maintenance of appropriate financial records

 The ideal candidate will have the following desirable knowledge and experience:

  • knowledge of school’s financial procedures, training will be provided
  • purchase ledger experience – orders, invoices and delivery processes
  • previously worked in finance education environment
