Welcome to Year 6! Undoubtedly, your last year of primary school is the very best, and we have so much to look forward to this year! We will be covering some exciting topics such as ‘The Ancient Mayans’, ‘Protecting our Planet’, ‘World War 2’, ‘Trading Across the World’, ‘Sculptures in and Around Birmingham’ and ‘Wonderful Water' (canals). Everyone will get a chance to create their own sculptures, design and make fairground rides and carry out scientific investigations. What a wonderful year it's going to be!
Remember: it's really important to be at school every day, on time and ready to learn.
During the Spring term, we will be helping you to prepare for your SATs. Every member of staff is here to help you to get the very best out of Year 6. We can’t wait to see what this year brings. REMEMBER TO ALWAYS GIVE IT YOUR BEST SHOT!
As always, homework will be set on Friday and should be completed by the following Wednesday. Homework will be set online, using Google Classroom, with the odd piece of paper for Maths or Grammar every now and then.
